Maria Tabanelli is an interdisciplinary researcher and designer working across creative coding, physical computing, wearable sensing systems, and experimental material research. She develops work that connects code with electronics — from microcontrollers and sensor-embedded garments to real-time visualisation and browser-based interfaces — alongside conductive textiles and responsive systems. Her practice combines creative coding, wearable electronics, AI-driven interaction, and bio-based material research across fashion, performance apparel, and human-centred technology, developed through collaborations with Canada Goose, Billabong, Stone Island, CP Company, Google DeepMind, MIT-associated programmes, and Life Labs Biofabrication Lab. She studied at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, with further training at Imperial College London and the University of Cambridge.
